At VTCT Skills, we proudly support the Clinical Aesthetics sector. We are currently looking to offer the Level 5 Aesthetic Practitioner Standard - Skin Rejuvenation End-Point Assessment. 

Product Objective

This End-point Assessment will ensure that we can support the apprentices for the Level 5 Aesthetic Practitioner standard.  The End-point Assessment will ensure that apprentices are competent in the following procedures: superficial and medium grade skin peels, micro needling, mesotherapy, light-based therapies, and combination intraepidermal procedures.

This occupation is found in several sector environments, varying in size including small, medium and large employers. An Aesthetic practitioner specialising in skin rejuvenation can be employed within the non-surgical cosmetic sector including beauty industry, aesthetic industry and wellbeing and health industries, in a variety of salons, spas, aesthetic, medi-spa environments and clinics.

Aesthetic practitioners will enter this occupation from a variety of professional backgrounds including beauty therapy, massage therapy, healthcare practitioners who will have a sound knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Where does it lead?

After completion of this standard, the apprentice will become a qualified aesthetic practitioner and prepared for employment. 

There are further opportunities to progress into higher level beauty qualifications, or become tutors/assessors of this sector which is becoming increasingly demanding.

Why we're considering this product

As advanced beauty treatments and the related qualifications become more prevalent, there is an increasing need for stricter regulation to ensure safety and uphold professional standards. This apprenticeship standard/EPA is the first of its kind and aligns with VTCT Skills heritage sectors, and the first beauty apprenticeship standard at Level 5.
